Insertion of suture through the meniscal implant:

  • Meniscal implant feeding from bulk, pre-sorting and orienting with specific feeder
  • Automated insertion of the meniscal implant in a dedicated work-piece-holder
  • Manual insertion of the needle with the suture, inside the meniscal implant
  • Automated needle and suture gripping and pulling, with monitored force, through the meniscal implant
  • Final visual inspection through magnification vision system

Suture tying and positioning around the meniscal implant:

  • Meniscal implant feeding from bulk, pre-sorting and orienting with specific feeder
  • Automated insertion of the meniscal implant in a dedicated work-piece-holder
  • Manual insertion of the suture, through the meniscal implant
  • Manual pre-tying of the suture
  • Automated final tying of the suture with monitored force
  • Final visual inspection through magnification vision system
